SUMMARY:How to Pitch the Right Way AND How to Not Suck at Networking
DESCRIPTION:This workshop will be in Two Parts. TWO Workshops for the Price of ONE!\n\n\n\nHow to Pitch the Right Way to Expand Your Network:\n\n\n\nWhen you talk about your business or your product\, are you telling your audience what THEY want to hear\, or what YOU want to tell them? By being able to explain briefly and concisely your concept to others so that they understand how it can be of benefit to THEM\, you will have better chances of expanding your network and customer portfolio.\n\n\n\nIn this class\, we talk about the 'elevator pitch' and key message points as you adjust your pitch to your audience.\n\n\n\nTopics:\n\n\n	Core message should be common in all pitches\n	Pitch should be tailored to audience (customer\, investor\, supplier\, media)\n	Clear\, concise\, compelling message (demonstrating value proposition\, supported with facts)\n	Understanding process of constructing a pitch\n\nHow to Not Suck at Networking:\n\nHow many times have you attended a networking event and 'gotten nothing out of it'? If you feel like you've wasted your time more than a handful of times in recent history\, you're doing it wrong. Most business owners don't have copious amounts of discretionary time. Time is both all we have and all we don't have. So\, use that time wisely. Networking works. A healthy chunk of our business growth year over year is a result of relationship building and reputation. Business owners\, leaders and those interested in swift professional growth should understand its worth and the role it plays in your business and professional opportunities.\n\nIn this class\, we will discuss how to know yourself and your audience\, plan your networking\, and go over tactical tips on managing your network to grow.\n\n\n\nTopics:\n\n\n	Know yourself\n	Know your audience\n	Plan your work and network\n	How to network\n	Tactical tips on managing your network to grow\n\n\nSpeakers: \n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Director\n\n Economic Development Council\, New Castle County Chamber of Commerce &\n\n Program Manager\, Emerging Enterprise Center\n \n \n Ashley Owens\n\n Networking Concierge\n\n Ashley Assists\, LLC\n \n \n	\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAshley Owens Bio:\n\nAs a Networking Concierge\, Ashley works as a strategic partner during networking events and takes away the tedious task of the dreaded followup.
