DESCRIPTION:The 153rd Delaware General Assembly will open this January in Dover with new leadership in the House\, new members taking office\, and a new governor elected to statewide office for the first time.\n\n\n\nBefore the session begins\, Spotlight Delaware invites you to hear from legislative leadership about the opportunities and challenges of the 2025 legislative year. You'll join community advocates\, business and nonprofit leaders\, and other engaged citizens for panel discussions of the top issues of the day\, and intimate chats with leadership about their top priorities   with plenty of opportunities to share your ideas and vision with elected officials.\n\n\n\nHighlights will include a panel on education funding with Madeleine Bayard from The Rodel Foundation of Delaware and Taylor Hawk from the Delaware State Education Association\, an update on the state's readiness to begin adult-use marijuana sales with Commissioner Robert Coupe\, and Governor Elect Matt Meyer's "fireside chat" with Editor-in-Chief Jake Owens.
